Women's hockey goalkeeper wanted in SW London
The London Wayfarers are a club which plays mainly out of Battersea Park and play games all over south west London. We are now recruiting for a new ladies goalkeeper to join our Ladies 4th Team. The main requirement is fun! Our members come from all walks of life and professions. We are looking for someone with some experience in goal who is looking to join a friendly team. We have weekly training sessions on a Wednesday after work and also monthly sessions specifically for goalkeepers run by the GB GK coach. Leagues matches are every Saturday. You may not be available for every Saturday but ideally most Saturdays up until April. We have regular social events during the year which brings the team and club together. So if you are looking to get fit and meet new friends then come along and join us. For further information contact Lucy Strong.

LWHC Policies
A new section has been added to the website. The Club Policies section contains all of the policies that govern the club, both in the junior and senior section. All members should ensure they are familiar with all the polices that apply to them. Any queries or comments please contact Matt Dean at chairman@londonwayfarers.com.

LWHC Colts Section
The Colts section was due to start on 10 January 2010, however the weather delayed the inaugural session until 17th. Training runs every Sunday morning from 09:30 am to 12:15 pm and over 50 juniors are attending on a weekly basis and the numbers are growing weekly. The idea behind having a Colts section in our club is to introduce players to the sport of hockey in a fun way from an early age, growing friendships and developing a life long commitment to the Sport. All players, of all abilities, between the age of 4 and 12 are encouraged to play and take part. These players represent the future of the London Wayfarers Hockey Club and we are fortunate to have exceptional coaches to help develop their skills and capability. In order to cope with the fantastic turnout, volunteers from the senior section of the club are invited to provide support to the coaches. A warm welcome to the junior players and their parents and guardians to the London Wayfarers Family!
