Sometimes it is just easier to have everything in one place. Below you will find all you need to know about the junior section and where to find more information if you need to.
The Junior section was established in January 2010 to encourage the development of hockey in boys and girls. It now boasts a membership of more than 800 young people and goes from strength to strength each year. London Wayfarers Hockey Club has an inclusive ethos and we aim to enable everyone to enjoy their sport, have fun, learn new skills and make new friends.
How to join
Please register if your child is interested in playing hockey. We have spaces available for the 2023-24 season. For further information, visit our how to join – juniors page. The Junior section takes children from Year 1, with a small number of players in Reception (from existing Wayfarers families with a volunteer hockey coach parent).
Volunteering
The hockey section is run by volunteers with some paid coaches. We are also delighted to have current International players as part of our coaching team. As a member of the club, we hope that you will embrace the club’s ethos by donating your time and skills to help our children enjoy the best possible sporting experience. Some of our parents are more comfortable on pitch, helping coach the minis, while others prefer to get involved off pitch – from helping with the newsletters, to baking cakes for hockey events. It’s up to you! Find out more on the volunteering page.
