London Wayfarers Hockey Club takes the welfare of our members, and all those involved in the club, very seriously. Safeguarding our junior members from harm is one of our top priorities.
We have an appointed Club Welfare Officer, Penny Stubbs, sitting on our Executive Committee to ensure player welfare is at the forefront of our operational planning. If you have any concerns regarding player welfare or safeguarding, or would you wish to file a complaint, please contact Penny via email.
We are looking to appoint a Junior Welfare Officer for the start of the 2017-18 season. If you are interested in this role please contact us.
Although hockey is a relatively safe sport, first aid pitch-side can still make a huge difference in the treatment of sustained injuries. To support our safety first efforts we provide several First Aid courses, free of charge, throughout the season. It is mandatory for all junior training sessions and matches to have a first aider present.
First Aid kits are supplied by London Wayfarers Hockey Club to team captains and/or team managers. It is their responsibility to keep the kits fully stocked. Any required supplements throughout the season will be provided for by London Wayfarers Hockey Club when requested.
